We help senior individuals to develop or extend a portfolio, and senior executives to gain a NED role alongside the day job.

Clients may be at the classic inflection point of retirement and starting from scratch. They may be an Executive Director or senior executive looking for their first NED with the support of their Chair and board.

Others may be moving to a portfolio career and already have one foundational NED role, or established NEDs who are gaining capacity, and wish to extend their portfolio by geography, entity type or sector. Our client base is equally divided between men and women. We have worked with a significant number of BAME clients, and enjoy supporting and promoting this group.

Our service offers support through a short series of linked sessions, usually within weeks of each other. They typically vary between a minimum of two and a total of eight. They may focus on the creation of a professional board CV to present the career to optimal advantage in a non-executive context, including video CVs; portfolio strategy to create a balanced and sustainable portfolio and board skillset; digital presence; marketing to launch or relaunch the individual effectively and comprehensively into the market; presentation, including career narrative (filmed sessions are available for clients to gain increased awareness); focused preparation for those wishing to take a Remuneration Chair role; and bespoke analysis to identify appropriate upcoming NED roles in particularly relevant businesses, and identify or extend a particularly relevant board network. Support includes personal referrals and introductions. All sessions are typically face to face and last two hours.

We are then available going forward as a sounding board without additional charge, or for further sessions, including for clients weighing up a range of non-executive opportunities or shortlisted for a non-executive role and preparing for interview.
