Effective board composition emphasises diversity of social background, gender, nationality and experience, and our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds. All have operated at a senior executive level. They are UK-based or based out of Europe, the US and Asia, although we can be most helpful to those interested in the UK market.

Clients include a number of the most senior retiring or retired Big Four partners with strong audit, tax and consulting experience. They typically have an accountancy qualification and can chair audit committee.

Others have very heavyweight general management, sometimes with a multi-billion P&L, across all sectors. These include former FTSE CEOs and CEOs of large family businesses including BP plc, Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc, Mars Inc and AXA SA, and successful entrepreneurs, senior divisional CEOs supported by their board to gain a NED role, and former public sector CEOs.
